Australia Ep.15: Sometimes it’s better to pull off

Today has been an extremely tough day for me, had pain on my shoulder from yesterday’s crash and was a bit disappointed because i have received a 15 minute penalty for stopping too late at a crossroad! In these days also i haven’t eaten much and so i found myself this morning going fast and pulling a 6th overall but then during the day my energies went down a lot, infact in the third and last stage i started and got lost after only 5 km, furthermore i missed some turns risking to crash and this made me take the decision to pull off and ride only to finish the stage without pushing or taking risk. Today is all my fault if i didn’t manage to keep up the pace but i’m happy i made the decision to slow down. In the end i finished the stage in 9th position overall and managed to get back in 1st position in my class!!!! Incredibly eventhough i got 6 hours and 45 minutes penalty slowly from being in last position now i am 1st in the 450cc standard class and 24th overall, just disappointed i got the penalty on the first day because i really think i could have made it in the top 5 if i kept the constant pace i had in these days. Here is a spectacular photo from today by Keith Hedgeland.
