New Rider Training Machine and Tyres for Dakar

Today was pretty busy day around Italy! I went to Bologna to meet with Francesco Catanese (The insane rider that did the last Pharaons on a Yamaha Tenerè 1200cc!), he is a close friend of mine and after reading on my facebook page that i was looking for tyres for the Dakar (on monday i have to ship everything to Argentina) he decided to support me and instead of making me a donation for his name on my jacket he gave me 3 Desert tyres!! But not only he did this, when i was there he showed me the new training machine for riders that he made which is seriously super cool! Take a look:

Basically its a real handlebar mounted on a fixed platform in order to get the same feel as when riding in order to develop the right muscles! Soon they will be available for purchase, i’ll keep you updated!

Today i also got through facebook the help of Energie e Sorrisi which is a non-profit organization made up of people with an incredible passion for rallies, infact the guys of Energie e Sorrisi managed to create a really nice situation, they go and participate to rallies around the world offering assistance to other riders, but at the same time they bring loads of helps with clothes, toys, food and so on for the poor because especially when racing in Africa you go through very poor villages. Thumbs up for them and maximum respect for the help they bring and at the same time the fun they bring in the bivouac! They saw i couldn’t find tyres and since they had some in stock they sold me them at a really low price and contributing to my Dakar, infact they also gave me a snowboard jacket, a fleece, and a book and dvd they made about their relationship between riding in rallies and bringing help around the world. Thanks guys for the support!!! They also invited me for a big meat dinner, can’t wait for that!

Speaking of other stuff now its almost midnight and i’m back to the origins like 8 months ago…. i have to be in Le Havre on monday morning for shipping bike and stuff to Argentina for the Dakar but…..bike still to finish (missing some parts that i will have to mount once in Mar del Plata) and here i am with no time, in my granparent’s kitchen with all of us working on the bike probably for all night long and then driving tomorrow for 1.400km…so now its time to go for me lots of work to do, but i really wanted to share this live with you and make you feel really part of my adventure!
