I’m going through some crazy days. Just 2 days before having to ship the bikes to Le Havre i was still with no bike and had no money to buy one but a miracle happened and my friends Ezio De Agostini and Mauro Sant put back in order one of the rally prototypes they had made last year. They really saved me, furthermore Mauro is an ex Ktm Factory mechanic and is now working for Speedbrain so i guess i couldn’t ask any better!! I drove to Udine with my van picked up the bike and at night i wrote on Facebook i was looking for someone to come with me to Le Havre because if not i would of been by myself for 2.700km. Another amazing coincidence happened and around 10 pm i receive a message from Davide Biga (a very famous italian guy that has recently completed a motorbike world tour of almost 100.000km in 1 year aboard a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200cc). The morning after i met him on my way at Novara and we drove all day and night non stop getting to Le Havre at 5am. Why i drove all night non stop even if i had my convocation at 6pm? Well obviously without any money left and having to borrow some off my girlfriend i had no clue where to load my cases, bags and wheels…… I spent about 6-7 hours with Davide asking anyone i would see if they could sponsor me by loading my stuff. Finally i found some really great spanish friends that loaded everything on their truck!!! Furthermore i was so happy when the other day i found myself on the Dakar Official Website in the news about Le Havre where also a photo of me with my last minute bike was published. So now all was done and even if i’m still without airplane ticket etc i had the chance to take a breath…. i thought! About 3 days ago i receive the news that all that was confirmed to me for the 2013 world championship season (i had a support arranged and confirmed) has been cancelled so after Dakar i will have to find another support in order to be able to race. Anyone that wants to be part of my Dakar there is time until the 15th of December to put your names on my race jacket! www.kapipal.com/dakar
