Today i will share with you a review about the Proride offroad goggles produced by the italian based company Raleri. These are the same model i used in Dakar 2013… so for sure they went through some tough testing.
To start with lets see whats in the box when we buy the product either from a dealer or from their online shop which you can check at this link. Differently from more famous brands, Raleri has tried to pack as many accessories as possible inside the box, on all the Proride line we get:
– Goggles with mirror anti-fog lens
– Extra transparent anti-fog lens
– Bag made out of a special material in order to use it also to clean and wipe the lens
– Bottle of liquid cleaner for the lenses
– Extra black replacement claws
The starting price of the Proride model with all these accessories is: 88 euro
Fundamental is to also take in consideration this is a Made in Italy product as a proof of the company ethics aiming more on the quality rather on the quantity, personally i find these goggles a more racing and professional oriented product for people that want top quality especially in situations like desert where the lens quality makes a real difference.
Main feature of this product are the lenses, Raleri is well known for being the producer of lenses even for some other companies. Thanks to years of study and testing they reached one of the highest quality we can find on the market. All the lenses have the clips for tear offs that can be bought seperately.
The frame is made out of a soft material to try and avoid physical damages in case of a crash, also the way it has been assembled makes it easy to take off even if you are injured and can’t move thanks to the dismountable claws. Obiously all the anti-fog lenses prevent us from getting humidity riding in the winter.
The design gives us a really wide and big view when wearing it and thanks to the little vents on the front for air flow combined with a double sponge used and upper and lower vents we never find ourselves with annoying drops of sweat on our face since all the sweat is absorbed. On the inside part of the elastic band there are some silicon type lines so that once we wear it on our helmet we don’t have to worry about the goggle moving, whereas the exterior of the elastic is printed offering a range of cool graphics.
We can also personalize our goggle by changing the colour of the claws, the elastic band and the lens amongst a really wide range of lens for any particular need. For example i use the Proride goggle on a Scorpion Exo helmet obtaining a perfect and comfortable combo with a super aggressive look.
